The day itself
What should I wear?
Dress codes vary throughout the day. Traditional South Asian, Indo-Western, or Western formal attire is welcome for our daytime celebrations, followed by Black Tie Optional for the evening reception.

Do I need to change between the ceremony and the reception?
Not at all. You are welcome to wear the same outfit throughout the day. There will be a break between lunch and the evening reception, so you're also welcome to change if you'd like.
When should I arrive?
We recommend arriving between 10:00 and 10:15 AM. The Baraat begins at 10:30 AM, followed by the Nikkah at 11:00 AM and lunch. Guests will depart Chateau Nouvelle by 2:00 PM and return for cocktail hour beginning at 6:00 PM.
Will the ceremony be in English?
Yes. The Nikkah will be conducted in English and Arabic.
Is any of it outdoors?
Yes. The Baraat, Nikkah, and lunch will take place outdoors, while the evening reception will be indoors.
The celebrations
What is a Baraat?
The Baraat is the groom's celebratory arrival and the official start of the day's festivities. Expect music, plenty of energy, and everyone coming together before the Nikkah.
What is a Nikkah?
The Nikkah is the Islamic marriage ceremony, when we will formally enter into marriage in the presence of our families and friends. Ours will be conducted in English and Arabic and followed by lunch.
Practicalities
Can I bring my children?
As much as we would love to include everyone, we are only able to accommodate the guests included on your invitation. If your children are included in your invitation, they are warmly invited to celebrate with us.
Can I bring a plus one?
We are only able to accommodate the guests included on your invitation. If a plus one has been reserved for you, it will be indicated on your invitation and when you RSVP.
How do I get between the hotel and Chateau Nouvelle?
Transportation will not be provided between the hotel and Chateau Nouvelle, so guests should plan to drive or arrange their own transportation. Complimentary parking is available at Chateau Nouvelle.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
All food served at the wedding will be halal, with vegetarian and seafood options available as well.

Can I take photographs?
Absolutely! Feel free to take photos throughout the celebrations — and please share your favorites with us.
Is there a gift registry?
